Kim admits to having negative feelings toward a recent popular show about the case: "The People vs OJ Simpson," the critically acclaimed 2016 miniseries from Ryan Murphy. According to Kim, she and her family were never consulted about the series and were "offended" by that. We just have two different paths and two different focuses and that's just how it went." She doesn't, she said, but insisted there is "no ill will, we just don't. Kim was also asked if she keeps in touch with the Brown family. Thus, it never happened and she has still never spoken with him. Simpson's team agreed, but ultimately asked her to sign an NDA about it, which Kim refused, she said. and I w anted to be the one to leave the room and leave him shackled there in his orange jumpsuit," she explained of wanting the prison meeting.

However, she did reveal she tried once to arrange a meeting with Simpson while he was behind bars for a litany of convictions related to a 2007 armed robbery in Las Vegas. "That's what innocent people do," she told the crowd. When asked if Simpson has ever reached out to her and her family, Kim laughed. OJ Simpson was tried for the murders in 1995 but was ultimately acquitted, although he was found liable for the deaths of Ron and Nicole Brown Simpson in a civil suit in 1997, The New York Times reported that year. Kim, who says to this day she mourns the fact that Ron never got to be an uncle to her children, wants to keep his memory alive - especially as no one has ever been convicted in his murder.

Kim spoke at CrimeCon 2021, which is presented by Oxygen, in a panel entitled "Confronting OJ Simpson: A Candid Conversation With Kim Goldman," where she described the kind of person Ron was - kind, funny, loving - and played the voicemail messages Ron received on June 12, 1994, the day he was stabbed to death, from concerned friends.

But while people always say Nicole Brown Simpson's name, the 25-year-old man who was killed with her is often simply described as "a friend." His sister, Kim Goldman, aims to remedy that. Ron Goldman lost his life alongside Nicole Brown Simpson in a double murder that immediately became infamous as her celebrity football player ex-husband, OJ Simpson, was tried for the crime.
